We work so that others can.
From essential businesses, to mom and pops, to women in developing countries, Get Masked creates pathways of possibility in uncertain times. We exist to meet economic and public health challenges with simple, sustainable solutions so we can all face a better future together.
Founded by real estate executive and philanthropist Ann Metzger, Get Masked started from a desire to help people get back to work safely during the Covid-19 pandemic. All across the U.S. organizations needed protective face masks for their teams and customers. Locally, the mostly female garment workers in LA’s Fashion District needed a viable way to provide for their families while their usual employment came to a grinding halt. The answer was to create a limited run of embroidered face masks for The Agency, one of the top luxury real estate brokerages in the country. From the high quality, breathable materials, to the sleek branding, to the wearable comfort, brokers and clients alike loved our masks. Referral orders started pouring in and Get Masked was born.
We believe that necessity is the mother of all invention.
That great things can come from hard times.
That fun means paying it forward.
That together is how we’ll make it through.
Paying it forward
A women for women enterprise, we’re guided by a pay-it-forward ethos. Through our Keep Women Working Initiative, 100% of our proceeds are given to nonprofits that support the occupational, educational, and sanitary needs of women around the world.
Our current charitable partners are With My Own Two Hands, which creates water independence, sustainable agriculture, and educational opportunities for women and families in East Africa, and Give Back Homes, which build homes for deserving families around the globe.
